He was predeceased by: his father Willie Nolan "Bill" Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Mandy Register Thornton of Bristol; his daughter Misty; his son-in-law Jamey Perkins of Waycross; his son Mickey; his daughter-in-law Cassie Thornton of Blackshear; his mother Eleanor Roddenberry Thornton of Bristol; his siblings, Lana Aldridge (Dewayne) of Blackshear, Rosalind Inman (Paul) of Blackshear and Kelly Thornton (Margo) of Waycross; his sister-in-law Pug Barnes (Adam) of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Dalton Purvis, Garrett Thornton (Denise), Dillon Perkins, Allie Perkins and Averie Thornton; and his great grandchild Elijah Thornton. He is also survived by "Pepa" to his grandchildren and great grandson.
