He was predeceased by: his wife Angie Denison Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Lawanna T. Chandler of Athens, Debbie Griffin (Derwin) of Waycross, Teresa Reese (Jeffery) of Fitzgerald, Renee Akins of High Springs, Fla. and Robert "Buddy" Thornton (Susie) of Bristol. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
