It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Lee of Bristol, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommie Thorton and Alma Milikin Thorton; her husband J. L. Lee; and her brothers, Bernard Thornton (Willie Mae), Robert Thornton, Bill Thornton (Eleanor) and James Thornton (Martha).
She is survived by: her children, William Scott Lee (Mary) of Patterson, Lori Ann Wanzo (Darian) of Jacksonville, FL and Johnny Allison Lee (Dianne) of Eustace, TX; her grandchildren, Josh Lee (Erin) of Clyo, GA, Ashley Lee Davis (Kyle) of Macon, GA, Daniel Wanzo of Jacksonville, Scarlett Lantz (Cody) of Jacksonville, Lacey Woods (Michael), Daniell Howell of Eustace, TX and Allison Lee, Jr. (Erica) of Mabank, TX; her great grandchildren, Landon Edwards, Grayson Lee, Ward Davis, Cody Woods, Jayden Byars and Ella Lee; and her sister Hazel Bowen (Sonny) of Dublin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
