She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Murray and Dosha Murray (Caruthers); her husband Henry Kennedy; her sons, Robert, Elbert, Ronny and Charles Peeples; and her siblings, Faye Pope, Earline Hunt, Rosie Smart, Robert and Elbert Murray.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Marvel, Shirley Newton, Richard Peeples, Jr., Rocky Peeples and David Peeples.
