He was predeceased by: his parents, Algernon Beal and Ethel Boyett Smith; his wife Linda Jean Macomber Smith; and his siblings, Madeline Dickson, Jackie Tubell, Raymond Smith, Jerdon "Johnny" Smith, Sr. and Phillip Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Danny Smith of Miami, FL and Artie Smith of Miami, FL; his siblings, JoAnn Dickson of Sylvester, Edsel Smith of Cleveland, TN, Glenn Smith (Gail) of Bristol and J. C. Smith (Suzette) of Leesburg, FL; and his sister-in-law Betty Jo Smith of Bristol. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
