She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Williamson and Georgia Davis Williamson; her husband Horace Gene Poitevient; her daughter Wanda Duncan; and her siblings, Vertice Cone and J. W. Williamson.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda and Jim Schiffner of Bainbridge, GA; her son-in-law Wayne Duncan of Pelham, GA; her grandchildren, Angel Webb (B. J.), Joseph and Kristy Newsome; and her great grandchildren, Danielle Bradshaw, Kelan Newsome, Justin Webb and Logan Webb.
