She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Durham and Grace Rawlings Durham; and her brothers, Eddie C. Durham, Jr. and Henry B. Durham. She is survived by: her husband Ed Mitchell; her children, Peggy, Johnny Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Susan, Mike Conger of Atlanta, GA, Brenda and Greg Bess of Dothan, AL; her siblings, Ronald and Barbara Durham of Eastman, GA; her grandchildren, Jessica (Tyler), Justin (Bronwyn), Kyle (Mekelle), Abby (Korbin) and Carter (Madison); her great grandchildren, Ivy, Annsley, Will, Lily, Maddie, Lucy, Harrison, James Edward, Brooklyn, Annie Lee and Ed; and her close friend Belle.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside funeral service will be held at Brinson Cemetery with Rev. George Masciarelli officiating.
