He is survived by: his children, Tommy Murray, Jr. (Marci) of Temple, Shelly Bristow of Waycross, Joshua Murray Sr. (Cassie) of Bremen, Courtney Newman (Travis) of Douglas and Kiristen Murray; his siblings, Vicky Tyre (Dale) and Zeb Murray (Ann); and his grandchildren, Taylor Bristow, Kayla Murray, Hayden Bristow, Joshua Murray, Jr. and Tommy "Trey" Murray, III. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
