He was predeceased by: his father Wendell B. Jones Jr.; his grandparents, Wendell B, Jones Sr., Shirley Jones, Harless C. and Lucy A. Jones; and his father-in-law Roy Ball.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Ball Jones; his children, Caitlin Jones Martin (Thomas "TJ") and Kyle Jones; his mother Nancy J. Jones-Jordan; his mother-in-law Bonnie Ball (Guy Woody); his brothers, B. Wendell Jones (Briana) of Fuquay Varina, NC and David M. Jones (Farrell Doss) of Christiansburg, VA; his nephew Samuel B. Jones (Emory) of Roanoke, VA; his nieces, Hannah Hopkins (Will) of Gaithersburg, MD and Macie L. Jones of Bethesda, MD; and his aunt Nadine Jones of Kingsport, TN.
