It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus B. Phillips Jr. (Bowman, Georgia), born in Thomasville, Georgia, who passed away on July 14, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Burnice Phillips, Sr. and Virginia June Davis Holcomb. He is survived by: his wife Fran Joyce Phillips of Hartwell; his sons, Rod Phillips (Christina) of Griffin, GA and Ben Phillips (Debbie) of Dewy Rose; and his brother Donald D. Phillips of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
