With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Joe Turpin of Bowman, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Turpin and Irene McCollum Turpin Brown; and his brother Leroy Turpin. He is survived by: his wife Laura Carver Turpin of Hartwell; his daughters, Joey Holcomb (Brian) of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Ricks of Hartwell and Renee Maxwell of Hartwell; his sister Callie Ann Smith of Hartwell; and his sister-in-law Margaret Turpin of Statham, GA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
