He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ray and Susie Adams Ray; his son Curtis Ray; and his siblings, Charles Alphus Ray and Leighton Gurley.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Weaver Ray; his son Blake Ray (Judy); his grandchildren, Deilia Williams (Brian) and Devin Rubinstein (James); his great grandchildren, Roland Williams, Marlowe Williams, Frances Rubinstein and Parker Rubinstein; and his sister-in-law Shelby Franklin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park (1171 Royston Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643).
