He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Buford Franklin Pate, Eula Christine Taylor Pate, Grady Watson Edwards and Faye Elvie Phillips Edwards. He is survived by: his parents, Terry Franklin Pate and Corrie Dean Edwards Pate; his wife Tammy June Houston Pate; his daughter Alyssa Brooke Pate; his brother Kelton; his sister-in-law LaDonna Pate; his niece Katelyne Grace Pate; and his nephew Stephen Andrew Pate. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
