It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Jay Thomason Sr. in Bowdon, Georgia, born in Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on September 7, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Turner Thomason and Bessie "Babe" Lee Hamilton Thomason; and his brother James Stewart Thomason. He is survived by: his children, Jay Thomason, Jr. (Sarah) of Auburn, AL, John Thomason of Carrollton, Amy Yates (Danny) of Heard County, Bess Thomason of Bremen and Ann Johnson; his siblings, Sue Thomason of LaGrange and H. Lee "Weet" Thomason (Jeani) of Bremen; his sister-in-law Jo Thomason of Kingsland, GA; his grandchildren, Conner Thomason (Ali), Austin Yates (Allison), Carol Ann Travis (David), Cody Yates, Jay Andrew Thomason, Copeland Tate, Gladney Tate, Julia Thomason and Tolula Thomason; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer Yates and Caleb Yates. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
