She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Cates and Dicie Cates; her husband Max Benefield; and her sisters, Karen Yates and Linda Skinner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Crawford and Wanda Parker; and her grandchildren, Chad Dobbs and Lexie Parker. She is also survived by many nieces and one nephew.
Due to Covid-19, the family has chosen to have no services at this time, but plan on honoring Mrs. Benefield with a memorial service at a later date.
