He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Paul Sims. He is survived by: his mother Helen Wright Sims of Roopville; his sister Jean Burns (Denny) of Whitesburg; his sisters-in-law, Linda Powell (Ronnie) of Clem and Anita Dewberry of Tallapoosa; and his nieces and nephews, Leigh Anne Border of Carrollton, Amanda Dewberry of Tallapoosa, Scott Rogers (Amanda) of Dallas and Scoot Rogers (Jennifer) of Douglasville.
He later became part of the Ga/Ala Wrestling Federation from Bowdon, drawing weekly shows for charity.
