We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2020, at the age of 88, Mamie Etta Barnes (Bowdon, Georgia), born in Randolph, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney John Daniel Nolen and Velma Richardson Nolen; her husband Quillian Barnes; her daughter Omega Barnes-McKinney; her grandchildren, Robert Michael Barnes and Erin Elizabeth Griffin; and her siblings, J. C. Nolen, Rachel Armstrong, Annie Mae Stacey, Jimmie Silvers and Clara Wessinger.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Barnes (Janet) of Bowdon, Georgia and Rebecca Barnes Griffin (Dennis) of Bowdon, Georgia; her son-in-law Michael McKinney of Dallas, Georgia; her sister Faith Kennedy of Jacksonville, NC; her brother-in-law Charles Barnes of Lilburn, Georgia; her grandchildren, Jessica Barnes Rush (Aaron), Richard Barnes (Angela), Julie Griffin Howard (Matt), Joel Griffin (Amanda), Colin McKinney (Nissa), Matthew McKinney (Megan) and Kyle McKinney; and her great grandchildren, Erica Rush, Jonathan Barnes, Charlee, Mallory Howard, Madalynn, Sophia Griffin, Emlyn, Violet, Nash, Marlow and Cade McKinney.
