He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bailey and Ellen Bailey; his wife Judy Lee Bailey; and his siblings, Wayne Bailey (Edna) and Jean Nelms (James).
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Tallman (Leroy) of Felton, Georgia, Lewis Bailey, Jr. of Heflin, Michael Bailey (Trina) of Hampton and Chris Bailey (Sheila) of Ranburne, Alabama; his grandchildren, Jennifer Chapman (Brian), Ethan Bailey, Emili Bailey, Mikey Bailey and Gage Bailey; and his great grandchild Jaylin Hunt.
