He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Hyatt and Grace Sutton Hyatt; his daughter Kim Hyatt Morris; and his siblings, J. T. Hyatt, Fred Hyatt, Bobby Hyatt, Frank Hyatt, Minnie Lo Preston and Betty Ann Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Hyatt; his daughter Karen Hyatt Spruill (Tommy); his granddaughters, Brandy Mitchell (Johnny), Miranda Parmer (Jared), Stacy Alred (Bobby), Nikki Muse and Kelli Wright (Lee); his great grandchildren, Caden Lester, Landon Morgon, Hunter Mitchell, Gavin Parmer, Mylah Parmer, Keira Muse, Bailey Duffie, Alivia Alred, Silas Alred, Brandon Wright (Cameron) and Levi Wright (Gracie); his sisters, Virginia Messer, Lucille Loveless, Faye McLeroy and Peggy Cheatwood; and his pet Rowdy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freedom Baptist Church (2124 Frank Ledbetter Memorial Dr, Ranburne, AL 36273). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
