He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Gentry and Percey Gentry; his wife JoAnne Gentry; and his siblings, Myrl Nolen, Willow Mae Kemp, Hoyt Gentry, James Gentry and Novie Jordan.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon; his son-in-law Gary Snow; his granddaughter Samantha Long (Zach); his great grandchild Jake Long; and his sisters, Irene Abernathy, Ima Gravitt and Pearl Henderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
