It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lee Wright Sr. of Bowdon, Georgia, who passed away on December 22, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wright of Carrollton and Mary Lee Wright of Bowdon, Georgia.; his wife Betty Jo Teal Wright; and his siblings, Carlos "Junior" Wright, Roy Wright and Christine Adair.

He is survived by: his children, Dolores (Tim Allen), Debbie (Mac Braswell), Gary Lee, Jr. (Sonya Wright) and Denise Wright of Jacksonville, Alabama; and his siblings, Cecil Wright of Bowdon, Bill Wright of Ranburne, Helen Sims of Bowdon and Fay Gunnells of Carrollton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
