He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grady and Chloe Arthur; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Marlow Arthur; and his siblings, Carl Arthur and Linda Arthur Driver.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Arthur (Jan Nielson) of Carrollton, Georgia, Nancy Lloyd (David) and Debbie Knowles (Mike) of Bowdon; his siblings, Bonnie Jean Arthur Laney of Bowdon, Shirley McCarty of Waco, Georgia and Olin Foster of Lilburn, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Ima Gentry of Bowdon and Edith Marlow of Austell, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Jason Knowles (Andrea), Connie Hannah (Neal), Kevin Knowles (Jessica), Keith Knowles (Kendra), Kraig Knowles (Shanda), Lori Holz (William) and Lance Arthur (Holly). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
