She was predeceased by: her parents, James N. Carter, Sr. and Hazel Bond Carter; her siblings, Jimmy Carter and Judy Mattox; and her sister-in-law Melody Lynn Smith.
She is survived by: her husband James Smith; her son Jay Smith; her daughter-in-law Brandie Smith; her brother Randy Carter of Panama City, FL.; her grandchildren, David, Aubrey Tinsley of Thomasville, GA and Kaylin (Chris Fallin); her great grandchild Lainey Rhea Tinsley; and her sisters-in-law, Christie Thomas of Boston and Bobbie Carter.
