With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Ricks of Boston, Georgia, who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Owens and Zeola Whiddon Owens; her husband Jimmy Lamar Ricks; her siblings, Frank Owens, J. T. Owens, Winona Owens, Marion Young and Eunice McGalliard; and also J. D. Ricks, Jr..
She is survived by: her brothers, Charles Owens (Bobbie Ann) of Boston, GA and Pete Owens (Doris) of Thomasville, GA; and her in-laws, Margaret Owens, Ernest Young and Wanda Ricks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home Chapel (10451 US-84 Ste E, Thomasville, GA 31757). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
