He is survived by: his pets, Puddy Cat, Dolly and Labrador; his wife Cindy Carson Richards of Boston; his children, John W. Richards Jr., Dalton McQueen and Paige Richards Davison (Robert); his grandsons, John W. Richards III and Kipp Richards; and his sister Mary Marshall McGalliard.
