He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Donald E. Downard (Fort Valley Methodist Church) and Antonia "Tontschi" Patterson Fountain. He is survived by: his children, Ethan Troy Patterson, Rachel Antonia "Tontschi" Patterson, Dylan Patterson of Sacramento, CA and Ginger Hines of West Point, GA; his grandchildren, Paisley Ramsey, Kourtney Ramsey, Jacob Hines, Cait Hines and Piper Hines; and his brothers, Lanny West, Boyd Anthony Patterson, Nashville and Mark Alan Patterson.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to the In Spirit Ministry that supports local people in need. Make the donation out to Fort Valley Methodist Church and put "In Memory of David Patterson" in the memo line.
