He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Pope and Stella Marie; his stepfather Floyd Thigpen; and his grandmother Frances Jenkins. He is survived by: his children, Austin (Alex), Carli (Cody) and Josi Grace; his grandchildren, Holli, Elliot, Hayden, Brennan, Holden, Dolly, Joy and Georgia; and his siblings, Mark Pope (Geri), Robin Butler (Harold), Pam Murphey (Steve) and Floyd Thigpen (Angie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Blythe Library (526 Railroad Ave, Blythe, GA 30805).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to "Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue" or "The Blythe Library" in his name.
