He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Allen Gay, Sr. and Hattie Summerall Gay; and his brother Billy. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Harper, William and Christopher Allen; his wife Marianne Trowbridge of Blythe; his sons, Chuck Gay of Wrens, Lee Gay (Cassie) of Blythe and Chris Gay (Risa) of Grovetown; and his grandchildren, Ashleigh Gay, Taylor Murphy (Barrett), Tyler Valero, Rachel Gay, Hannah Gay and Jefferson Trowbridge Gay (J. T.).
