He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Postell and Lottie Postell; his wife Ida Sue Stepp Postell; and his brothers, J. D. Postell, Howard Postell, Winford Postell, Gary Postell and Don Postell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Queen (Alan) and Lynette Pritchett; his grandchildren, Karen Queen Rooker (Chris), Julie Queen McDaniel (Bob), Greg Pritchet and Matthew Pritchett; his great grandchildren, Ruby McDaniel and Joseph McDaniel; and his siblings, Charles Postell of Ellijay, GA, Lealon Postell (Anna Lou) of Epworth, GA, Ray Postell (Carolyn) of Ellijay, GA and Beulah Watson of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the family has elected not to hold visitation.
