He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Hughes and Claudine Holmes Hughes; and his brother Hilton Delane Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Maeola Stepp Hughes; his children, Julie Elizabeth Panter (William Lynn) and Roy Clinton Hughes (Julie Mealer); his grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Lasley McAvoy (Jacob), Joshua Tyler Lasley (Lauren Hensley), Matthew McKinney Lasley (Hannah Davis), Abigail Rose Hughes, Annelise Noel Hughes, Sandi Nicole Panter Curtis (Jon) and Will Panter; his great grandchildren, Lainey Lasley, Tyler Lasley, Liam Lasley, Katie Mae Curtis, Colin Curtis and Peyton Curtis; and his siblings, Milton Eugene Hughes (Kim Buck) and Glenda Ruth Queen.
