He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otis and Cosby Mammielee Ledford Allen; his daughter Sabrina Allen King; his son-in-law Dr. Daren King; his granddaughter Oaklyn Townshend; and his siblings, J. O. "Hosey" Allen, Ralph Otis Allen, William "Bill" Allen of James, Allen, Martha Allen Holloway and Kenneth Melvin Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Widner-Allen; his children, Jill (Seth Stanley), Leann (Daniel Bolling), Jade (Scotty Townshend), Sarah (Ryan Deaver) and Derrick (Alexis Allen); his grandchildren, Liam King, Maeleigh King, Corbin Stanley, Jenna Stanley, Adam Stanley, Micah Stanley, Alyssa Bolling, Lilly Bolling, Colton Townshend, Carter Townshend, Lanah Deaver, Walker Deaver, Lincoln Deaver, Peyton Allen and Alice Allen; and his sisters, Joann Willis and Ruth Long. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
