Robert Benard Phillips Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Benard Phillips of Blue Ridge, Georgia, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel "N. T." Phillips and Birdie Cabe Phillips; his daughter Diane Pinkard; his son-in-law Dan Pinkard; his grandson Daniel "Lanny" Pinkard Jr.; and his siblings, Earl, Frank, James, Herdis, Bill, Joe, Gene Phillips, Annie Ruth Hill and Peggy Hurst Goode.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Tipton; his wife Betty McGaha Phillips; his son-in-law Roy Tipton; his grandchildren, Lisa Pinkard Acree, Christy Tipton Krohn (Toby Krohn) and Kelly Tipton Turpin; his great grandchildren, Ryan Acree, Morgan Krohn, Braden Krohn and Emily Krohn; and his sister-in-law Bobbie Phillips. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
