We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 91, Mary Brooks (Blue Ridge, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Brooks; her parents, Henry Hughes and Carrie Martin Hughes; and her siblings, James Hughes, Clarence "Bill" Hughes, Eunice Martin and Don Hughes.
She is survived by: her sons, Greer Brooks (Emelia) and Mark Brooks (Tammy); her grandchildren, Amy Brooks, Wesley Brooks, Robin Peterson (Eric), Sean Brooks, David Brooks and Lauren Brooks; and her sister Mozelle Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of McCaysville McCaysville Chapel (1478 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (165 Wolfcreek Rd, Murphy, NC 28906).
