She is survived by: her children, Connie Day Blue Ridge, Bobby and Dedric Benefield; her sister Betty McKinney; and her grandchildren, Cecilia Thompson of Richard Thompson, JR, Raymond Thompson and Tashie Young. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
