He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard A. Verner and Ethel Bell Verner; his wife Rosalee Verner; his stepdaughter Jo Lynn Krohn; his brothers, Marvin and Jimmy Verner; his half-brother Elvin Denton; and his granddaughter Holly Ford.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Jerrie Crawford; his siblings, Hoyt Verner, Lloyd Verner, Delton Verner, Edith Ballew and Mildred Dickey; and his grandchildren, Tammy Knight, Toby Krohn, Tracy Krohn and Paula Anderson. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to The American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
