He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Roosevelt Patterson and Betty Ovelle Waters Patterson; and his sister Sharon Mashburn. He is survived by: his children, Sandy Taylor of Blue Ridge, GA. and Julia Pruitt (Gregory) of Clayton, GA.; his brother-in-law Glen Mashburn of Blue Ridge, GA.; his brothers, Ricky of Blue Ridge, GA., Timothy of Blue Ridge, GA. and Jeremy Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA.; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Derrick, Sarah Mashburn, Chris Derrick and Jason Mashburn; and his grandchildren, Lilly Berry, Constance Cantrell, Alayna Cantrell, Jessalyn Mahan and Samuel Strickland.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to defray funeral expenses.
