He is survived by: his children, Bess Crider, John Watson and Martha Barkdoll (Anthony); and his grandchildren, Grant Crider, Kirby Crider, Caroline Crider, Benjamin Barkdoll, Pace Barkdoll and Ella Barkdoll. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
