He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Virginia McFarland and James Washington Edwards; and his granddaughter Rose. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Edwards; his brother-in-law Phillip Barker (Melissa); his children, Georgia Allen (Jeremy), Leanna Gonzalez-Chino (Alfonso), Lavonna West, Julie Taylor (Hugh), Jessica Edwards (Trent) and Jacob Edwards; his grandchildren, John, Liam, Lulu, Gabriel, Abram, Emily, Sam, James, Troy and Gladys; his sister Marilyn Forrester (Wade); and his siblings-in-law, Larry Buchanan and Lisa Amos (Gary Wingo). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and "adopted" children.
