It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Ray Nicholson of Blue Ridge, Georgia, born in Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Reid Nicholson and Eula Mae Kernea Nicholson; his grandparents, Lawrence, Leola Nicholson and Maudine Kernea; and his brother-in-law Bobby Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Hughes Nicholson; his children, Zack Nicholson of Blue Ridge, GA and Hillary Nicholson of Blue Ridge, GA; and his siblings, Dennis (Patty Nicholson), Ricky (Larenda Nicholson), Tim (Becky Nicholson) and Brenda Franklin of Mineral Bluff, GA.. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
