He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald O. Godfrey and Lydia Marie Fazekas. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Joy Davis Godfrey; his children, Mathew Godfrey (Amanda), Kirkland Godfrey (Baillie), Kameron Godfrey and Amy Davis; his sister Berdie Ramirez; his half-siblings, Laura Tenorio, Richard Tenorio, Leroy Tonorio, Michael Fazekas and Angie Davis; his brother-in-law Johnny Davis; his grandsons, Jasper, Landon and Joey; and his mother-in-law Ruby L. Rhodes.
