He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Postell and Lottie Postell; and his brothers, J. D. Postell, Howard Postell, Winford Postell and Gary Postell.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Postell; his sons, Timothy (Melissa Postell) and Daniel (Kellie Postell); his grandchildren, Matthew, Micah, Abigail and Gabriella; and his siblings, Charles Postell of Ellijay, GA, Lealon Postell (Anna Lou) of Epworth, GA, Windell Postell of Blue Ridge, GA, Ray Postell (Carolyn) of Ellijay, GA and Beulah Watson of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the family has elected not to hold visitation.
