He was predeceased by: his father William Oscar Cox; his brother William "Billy" Cox; and his brother-in-law Richard Warren. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cox of Blue Ridge, GA; his children, Kimberly Rose Mullinax (Wesley), Karri Angela Bowen (Justin) and Kelli Lee Cox of Blue Ridge, GA; his mother Dorothy C. Cox of Blue Ridge, GA; his grandchildren, Dakota Davenport, Sydney Cochran and Ty Bowen; and his siblings, Michael T. Cox (Denise) of Dial, GA, Daniel R. Cox (Carol) of Jasper, GA, Joseph M. Cox (Beverly) of Epworth, GA and Rosemary Warren of Blue Ridge, GA..
