He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Andy and Willie Ledford Bowers; and his siblings, Claude Bowers and Gilbert Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Eva Lee McDaris Bowers; his son Michael Earl; his daughter-in-law Kim Bowers; his grandchildren, Kayla Bowers Stanford (Josh), Danielle Bowers Morgan (Buddy), Josh Bowers and Madison Bowers (Nathaniel Garrison); his great grandchildren, Presley Morgan, Colton Stanford, Caroline Stanford, Riley Morgan, Cason Stanford, Allie Morgan and Clayton Stanford; and his siblings, Carolyn (Johnny Cochran), Bobby (Patsy Bowers), Kathy (Randy Godfrey), Steve Bowers (Debbie) and Danny Helms. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
