With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Irene Davenport (Blue Ridge, Georgia), who passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Garfield and Bettie Postelle Sosebee; her husband Elmer H. Davenport; her siblings, George, James, Wilma Sosebee (Fowler), Bertha Sosebee Payne (Elmer), Ina and Francis Sosebee; her son-in-law Frankie Barker; and her grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Barker Galloway and Jeffrey Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Christine D. Barker of Copperhill, Geraldine D. (Ronald Shuler), Shirley D. (Freddie Wright), Sheila D. (Eddie Ash) and Charles R.; her daughter-in-law Sharon Davenport of Kodak, TN; her brother Ray; her sister-in-law Velma Sosebee of Dalton, GA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, John Klamer, Amanda, William Skinner, Dr. Jon, Jenni Davenport, Brooke, Chris Pearson, Leanne, Danny Newton, Bryan Ash, Savannah, Daniel Foster and Roy Galloway; her great grandchildren, Dakota, Brandon, Lauren, Kayla, Jeremiah, Cole of Tina, B. J., Ryan, Kimmi, Cory, Ethan, Haylee, Leia, Savannah, Leoria, Estalee and Idabelle; and her great great grandchildren, Channing, Brintlie and Zachary.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests no visitation.
