He was predeceased by: his wife Kandi; his parents, Mary and Richard Johnson Hackney, Sr.; and his brother Carl Hackney. He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Marie Hackney; his siblings, Mary Carol McCall (Johnny), Marjorie Shaw of Thomasville, GA and George Hackney (Juliane) of Quincy, FL; his niece Katie Hackney; and his nephews, Tom Shaw, Cullin Hamm, Richard Hamm, George Hackney, Jr., Martin Hackney, Joseph Hackney and William Hackney.
