He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline Carol Schuman; and his parents, Lawrence Lee Schuman, Sr. and Betty Jeannette Ulmer Schuman. He is survived by: his children, Michael Schuman, Jr. (Amanda), Hugh Kesler (Tammy), Eddie Kesler (Connie), Pam Anderson (late John) and Mikey Kesler (Michael); his siblings, Lawrence Lee Schuman, Jr., Patricia Gail Sharpe (late Louis), Kenneth J. Schuman (Sally), Charles N. Schuman (Martha) and Betty Jeannette Whitted (Jack); and his grandchildren, Hugh Kesler, Jefferey Kesler, Dusty Kesler, Kristina Reagan, Michael Shropshire, Summer Woo, John Anderson, Eddie Kesler, Chris Kesler, Erica Kesler, Cheznie Schuman, Zachary Schuman, Noah Schuman and Aden Patton. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
