He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kerby and Georgia Lee Kerby; and his wife Rose Kerby. He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy (Daphne) and Jamie (Denise); his grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey and Parker; his brother Robert Burnsed; and his sister-in-law Lillie Anderson.
