It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Wallace Wright Sr. of Bloomingdale, Georgia, born in Metter, Georgia, who passed away on July 8, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father W. A. Wright; and his siblings, Fonnie Powell, Irma Dean Humphrey, David Wright and William Wright, Jr..

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Wright and Gene Wright, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Johnson, Jackie Parker, Darlene Dennison, Jerry Wright and James Wright. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
