He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Baumann and Ruth Baumann; his brother Clifford Baumann; his stepson Nicholas; his wife Mary Frances Sheffield Baumann of Statesboro; his children, Emil David Baumann, Jr. (Suzanne) of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Dana McConnell (Chad) of Riverdale, NJ; his stepchildren, Jennifer Smith and Jonathan Smith; his siblings, Robert Baumann of Myrtle Beach, SC, David Baumann of Guyton, GA, Steven Baumann of Jekyll Island, GA and Vickie O'Brian (Paul) of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Krista Mae, Shanna Mae Baumann of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Madison and Chad McConnell, Jr. of Riverdale, NJ; and his stepgrandchildren, Chris, Elizabeth, Junior, Timothy and Nevaeh.
