He was predeceased by: his parents, Linfield Purifoy and Tinae Lea Purifoy; and his wife Jeanette Powell Purifoy. He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Beth Purifoy), Steve Purifoy, Cyndi (Bill Wise) and Renee (David Steedley). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other family and friends.

Private Graveside Service will be help at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
